Help with our first tennis tournament

I am president of a tennis club in an "over 50"'s RV resort.  We have around 60 players ranking anywhere from 2.0 - 4.5.  I want to have a tournament next spring for our club but I have no tournament experience.  What are some suggestions for this doubles tournament.  In other words, should it be a round robin...........best 2 out of 3 games...............etc?  Any suggestions would be appretiated

With 60 players you'll have 30 teams.  Round robin will be kind of excessive.  Maybe do a first match loss consolation bracket.  That way anyone that would have been booted fast will get another chance at a (for lack of a better phrase) loser's bracket.

You could try a King of the Courts type format.
