The Boston Red Sox players are, as of right now, refusing to make the trip to Japan for the opening games of the season.
It seems that during the negotiations the players and coaches were to be paid $40,000 from MLB to make the trip to Japan. But now they are hearing the coaches aren't getting paid. So the players have stated that unless the coachs get their share today's exo against Toronto won't be played, and they will not go to Japan.
The Japan thing is nuts anyway. They will go to Japan, play a couple exos, then play 2 regular season games, then come back play a few more exos, and start the 3rd game of the season a few days later. At least that's how I've heard it will be done.
