That was painful to sit through!

Patti's my girl, but I have to agree with you on that!  Now have you heard my 'other girl' sing it? See link below:

I think they were cheering "politely" since she is a hometown girl to get her off :zipped:

When will this team learn to knock in a run from 3rd already. And whom decides who should umpire the World Series.
I lost the will to live mid way through the first set!

Dallas have you been living under a rock. Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were killed over the weekend by her brother-in-law and her nephew is missing :(

Well the only reason I was pulling for Tampa Bay was because they are the American League representative and I follow the American League rather than the NL... But looks like the team is on it's last leg..... So much for the All-Star game's home court advantage. :\

It wouldn't matter because the Rays had a better record.

Yet it would.  In the All-Star game each year, the winner of that game decides the home field advantage for the world series.  They don't go by win-loss of the teams any more.

The league that wins the All Star game gets the home park advantage. This was Fox's answer to poor All Star Game ratings. "This time.... it counts!"

Even if the All star rule wasn't in effect, the "Rays" had a better record and would have been granted home-field anyway.

But the point is.... it WAS in effect.  So if the NL had won the All-Star game, I don't care what record the Rays had... the Phillies would have home field advantage! :)~
