Conspiracy, why wait to suspend the game after the Rays had tied the game. MLB didn't want to hand the Phillies the title by calling the game.

So they are going to pick up the game tomorrow where they left off tonight...........tie game in the 6th inning.  What time are they gonna start the rest of the game tomorrow?

I hate to speak against your team but I would never want a World Series to end on a game that was not completed due to rain.  Besides, I think they did everything by the rules tonight didn't they?

Crazy. They really let Selig off the hook with the game knotted at 2-2. I would love to have seen it Phillies 2-0 and he had to suspend it. By rule, after 4 1/2, Phillies win!  :rofl_2:

I think the logic is that they wanted to give the Phillies a chance to finish the game and win the series outright. As long as they kept the lead, they would have let the Phillies close it out. But after the Rays tied it, there was no telling how long the game would go on, so they called it.

Thanks, I didn't see the game  :(  So I see that this was indeed a consideration, after all.

So instead of baseball, they got Bud Selig holding up a rule book he had no intention of honoring. Had the Phillies led 2-1 (as they had with two out in the top of the sixth) when the umpires summoned the groundskeeper, they’d have finished the game anyway on some other night. The rule book would have awarded the game to the team that led.

Kazmir was getting screwed royal by the home plate ump.  Man.  There were a couple of pitches right over the plate that the ump called ball 4.  And I am rooting for the NL so that should show you how bad it was.
