I couldn't find anyone to play today, but I did find someone who was hitting serves. I asked if he wanted to hit, but he said I could return his serve. More than anything, I need to work on my return of serve. I must have returned more than a hundred and fifty balls.

It was awesome! I'd love to do more of that  :)

150 returns out of 1500 serves is not that great.

If that's the case, he's awful lucky to have returned even one of those serves!

Looks like a swell guy to have scones and a cup a Joe wid though.

Good stuff B.
Perhaps the least practiced shot in the game. :(
Did you make a date to hit with him again?
I'll understand if this question is too personal after reading the last few entries here.....

:laugh-bounce:  No plans to hit again  :(

OK, so yous guys should know why I'm updating my journal.

Yep.

shoulder

I'm playing this tall lefty who's able to handle my kickserve to his FH. So naturally, I've got to tweak it to make it more difficult to handle. So I start exaggerating everything--the toss, my push off into the ball--and I feel a pinch yesterday. Not sure what to make of it because I can do everything normally at or below the head. I've got bands to exercise with, and I don't feel any pain doing the exercises. The only time it hurts is when I go into my service motion.

Sucks! I guess I'll be playing the wall for a few weeks...or more!  :(

Hit with a guy today. Just rallied and returned his serve. A great hit. Didn't try to serve.  :)

Good luck with that shoulder.  Don't rush it.  Injuries are something I know all too much about.  And as you know, I am a doctor   :\
Dr. J
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

I think its really a good idea OSO Buckeye. It should be considered with care, because summer brings its own negative aspects in Columbus.
