Baghdatis flew from Kuala Lumpur so they must both be at least a bit tired. Not going to be a pretty match. Rafa is the defending champion. I am guessing he'll be too keen on defending this one as he hasn't won anything on hard or grass this season.

1st round: Baghdatis
2nd round: Nieminen or Bogomolov jr
Quarter Finals: Nalbandian or Monaco
Semi Finals: Ferrer or Stepanek
Final: Nadal or Fish

He's also playing doubles with brother Jamie meaning he's not too serious about the singles.

Andy had a tough win last night. I waited long enough to see the match but Tipservic took forever to finish his match. I couldn't stay up that long. Had to cave in around 2am in the morning. I like Baggy and he's always given Andy problems in the past, so thought it was worth staying but alas. What's worse, there was no live streaming anywhere.

now, now, now, now this is a bit of a long shot but worth a mention.
Andy's on an ever so slight roll here and it could all end first round of the next tournament, but maybe it's a spark that will grow into something bigger.
With regard to next year the best predictor is this year and if Andy can have a fantastic run to the end of this one it sets him up superbly for next year.
I still think it's very tough for him to win a slam-i mean seriously tough, but lets see how the rest of this year pans out.

I'll tell you a secret. Murray needs to let it go. That's what Nole has done. Just let it go. Live now and try to do your best. I think that Murray is focusing too much on his past

Perhaps this is the first of several steps that will boost his confidence. A good showing at the YEC would help as well.

It's tough for any of the players to win a slam these days. Plenty of serious contenders!!! I never count any of the top 4 out, though Andy (not Roddick) has yet to make the breakthrough. I think he's got the skills and the fitness, he just hasn't been able to put it all together.
