Hello children of the corn.  :)~

Okay, okay, I keed. I mean hello you all lovely people (Alex, Siddy, pawan, falcon, hunting, Kitty, Shankar, herc, Babs, Monster, Swish, Scot, Dallas etc. I have a such a long list, really). Hope you guys are really doing well and very, very happy. I had such a fun time with you all and there are so many fond memories when I look back, really. There were some rough times as well and I do apologize to all of you if I were hard on you or mean to you one time or another. No matter how harsh I sounded, I genuinely had no intention of truly hurting anyone. Just know that, in the end, I have nothing but very good memories of all of you.  :)

Anyway, I know Wimbledon is starting tomorrow and so I want to wish you and your players all the best. Yes, yes I am still supporting Andy (and Nole too) and I still believe in him. His day will come.

I miss you guys. Take care.  :)

Shankar, congratulations on your boy. I am sure it made you all Rafa fans very happy. I definitely wanted Nole to win but I didn't mind Rafa winning either. Hope it's everyone's time eventually. Be good!
I'm not sure how to look at this. first of all, you know we love you because you are witty and emotional/passionate... second, it seems to me you will not be posting on this board any more.  really not sure why. if you do love tennis (I know you do), why not? If you are busy with work or with your new bf, just say so. why do you make all of this drama? I will never understand women  ..-)

I hope not, but that was my impression. I just don't get it. You used to be so active on this board, then you disappear, then you come back to say hi to us. as I said 'drama queen at her best'  :)~... no wonder I don't ever want to get married again  :)

Hello children of the corn.  :)~

You always make me laugh! :rofl_2:

Hopefully Andy (not Roddick) makes a deep run over the next week.
Looks like some tricky opponents in his section.
Who wants to face Karlovic, Raonic, Anderson, or Cilic on grass? :scared:
His first round match against DavyD is no cake walk either.
If he plays within himself and manages to control his inner demons he should do just fine.

gotta say Murray grown a bit in my eyes. Not because of tears or any emo bullsh!t, but because of aggressive play!
The speech was a bit touchy but mehh many players cried and choked like that.

If he's gonna keep doing that or at least be close to his '08 self, I might actually cheer for him in some of his matches  ;-()

He did make a deep run, didn't he despite that  scary line up? Well, minus Raonic. He had DavyD, Karlovic, Baghdatis, Cilic, Ferrer, Tsogna and finally, Federer. It didn't really matter to me who was on the other side of the net in the final, because I felt if Andy could bring his best and keep it together then he definitely had a shot in the final. But still, would have preferred Nole in the final because he is so much more likeable and he is also my next favourite player. It was still a great Wimbledon despite the weather and the obnoxious crowd at times. I really hated them in the Federer vs Nole match and then again, in the final, when they showed split support in the first 3 sets. They should have been behind Andy 100% but Federer, together with the Scottish/British thing, it just wasn't there until the 4th set. But Andy did end up winning a lot of new hearts after that fortnight.

Yeah Emma, it was an incredible run, not many slouchs in that lineup of opponents.  I think having Lendl in his corner is paying huge dividends as he seems to be slowly maturing into serious competitor.  Keeping his cool and remaining confident in tight situations is what slam winners need to do consistently and to me it seems that is now within his reach.

I've yet to see the final and am looking forward to it.

Yep, Murray seems to have taken Ivan's advice to heart.. There is a calm to his demeanour and a greater willingness to dominate proceedings.. Wayne Ferreira, on radio, commentated on Andy's weakness with respect to the forehand up-the-line.. Can anyone elaborate on this observation?? As things are, Murray is a top player..

Please explain why the international crowd "had" to be 100% behind Andy? Remember crowds love Federer all over!

thank you emmie........i am impressed with his level on clay this year, he looked unstoppable........but his football tardism has clearly affected his wimbledon campaign and resulted in another slam donation to fed........

sorry for the delayed reply.......i don't check the non-nadal fan threads that often.......keep posting, don't go away........you are needed here and so are falcon, pacer and yellowball........

his football tardism is too much for a professional sportsman, lugz........he jumped around and partied like a 16 year old the night before his 2nd round........his game was gone the very next day........

Kind of you to step aboard this Ship of Fools!
Always entertaining when you do stop in.

Thanks for sharing such a splendid vid of Andy (not Roddick).
Am looking forward to him carrying some momentum from his latest Wimby experience into this year's U.S.O. :fingers crossed:

Nice pics Emma, but I'll be honest here (with all respect to Fed fans). I was devastated that Murray lost ... I don't want to even think about that match any more.  :mad1:
