Yeah, you can't Richard's coach Peyre's incredibly handsome face. :)~ Besides, you don't like Fed's sweaty back? :rofl_2:

I am beyond angry. I am more disappointed with him at this point. It's hard to believe that he accidently took it. I want to believe this isn't true, but with all the evidence, I have to believe it. :( This is just turning into a nightmare.

see the bright side, he was making a lot of stupid things, enjoying more the nightlife than his pro career. he is going to learn the lesson the hard way but perhaps that's what Richie neeeded, something like this to grow up and be more mature like what hapenned with Capriati.. Now it's the time for Richard to think which are the priorities in his life and career. he is going to fight, he has not said his last word in tennis. don't need to tell you that those kind of stories are the ones who break my heart and make me want to love the player even more.

I have said it in the past and I'll say it again.  It's really not nice to jump on players when they are down.  Sure some players can make stupid mistakes but actually, when they are down is when they really need their fans more.  It's easy to be on a player's bandwagon when they are winning and everything is ok, but you really find out who the 'real' fans are when that player is down.

I commend BGT for sticking by Richie (in spite of)... and hopefully he can come out of this stronger.

Rafael Nadal to Face Richard Gasquet in First Round of U.S. Open  ALLEZ GASQUET ! :cheer:

Former world No. 1 Rafael Nadal has been handed a tricky first-round encounter at the U.S. Open, as the Spaniard will take on Frenchman Richard Gasquet in his opening match at Flushing Meadows.

Gasquet will be playing his first competitive match since being ruled out due to a ban for cocaine.

Nadal, on the other hand, will be playing in only his third tournament of the year, as a knee injury prevented the world No. 3 from defending his titles at Queens and Wimbledon.

After winning this year's Australian Open in January, Nadal had appeared on course to dominate men's tennis. However, the knee injury forced Nadal onto the sidelines, while Roger Federer reclaimed his No. 1 crown.

Nadal has a chance to end the year the way it started by winning the one Grand Slam to elude him: The U.S. Open. And should he do so, Nadal would become only the sixth man in the Open era to complete the career Grand Slam.

Given the determination and courage that Nadal has shown throughout the course of his career, it would take a brave person to bet against the Spaniard.

I posted this in the Rafa tribute thread as well, but it belongs in both threads. Some kinds words from Richie.  Glad to see both are good friends. :))

Something Gasquet said about Rafa, his R1 opponent in a long interview for l'Equipe:

(Interviewer: Nadal, c'est aussi un des joueurs qui vous a beaucoup soutenu.)
C'est celui qui m'a le plus soutenu, plus que tous les autres. S'il a un jour besoin de moi, je serai là pour lui. Je vais essayer de le battre, c'est le sport (sourires). Mais je n'oublierai jamais ce qui l'a fait pour moi.

(Interviewer: Nadal is also one of the players who supported you a lot.)
Gasquet: He's the one who supported me the most, more than all the others. If he needs me one day, I'll be there for him. I am going to try to beat him, that's the sport (smiles). But I will never forget what he did for me.
