Instructor tosses ball to one player at a time. If they
hit into the singles court, fine. Go back in line.
If they don't:
First miss: they yawn
Second miss: they are very tired
Third miss: they go to bed
Fourth miss: they fall asleep
Once a kid "falls asleep," he or she goes to the other side of
the court. If he or she can catch another player's ball in the air
or on the first bounce, he or she is "wakes up" and goes back to
the other side to hit again. The youngsters never tire of this game,
and they love being on both sides of the court. And they love hearing
the coach yell out "Rosie, go to Bed!" It not only develops accuracy
when trying to stay out of Bed, but also movement and hand-eye coordination
when "asleep."
