This drill is very effective in helping players hit and return sharp
angle shots. Each player stands slightly to the right of the
center of the baseline. Either player can start by hitting
a forehand to the forehand of the other, but within reach.
The receiving player returns to the forehand (within reach)
and each player takes a step to the right. The first player
hits another forehand and the process continues until both
players are close to the net hitting sharp angles until one
player hits it out or into the net. The same drill can be
done in the same way on the backhand side as well. This drill
can use for doubles by including the full court or singles
within the singles court. It is usually effective to keep
score on a first to 11 basis.
