This drill is good to help you to develop the half volley.
Start with either 1 or 2 players on each side of the court standing at
their service lines. Do not come any closer to the net than the service
line. Start off a short rally and try to hit as many half volleys as possible.
If you have to volley the ball do so, but try to hit the ball back at
your opponent's feet so they have to hit a half volley to return the ball.
Remember to bend you knees and stay low to hit the half volley. Do not
get lazy and just drop your racquet and not your body to hit the half
